Flynn Wedding Invitation
This custom wedding invitation was created for a couple who wanted a personal, illustrated design featuring themselves in front of their wedding venue, Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The goal was to create a detailed line illustration that captured the architecture of the venue while keeping the couple as the focal point of the composition.
I chose a hand-drawn illustration style to give the invitation a personal feel while maintaining the detail needed to make the venue recognizable.
The illustration began in Procreate, where I drew the couple and surrounding architecture by hand. The venue's detailed windows and structural elements required careful attention to proportion and linework.
Once the illustration was complete, I brought the artwork into Adobe Illustrator and converted it into vector graphics, allowing the design to be scaled and reproduced more easily.
I worked with the couple to understand their vision for the invitation, including the illustrated style and the elements they wanted featured.
I handled the illustration process from initial drawing through vector conversion, combining hand-drawn techniques with digital design tools to create the final artwork.
The project also gave me an opportunity to further develop my workflow between Procreate and Illustrator.
The completed illustration brought together the couple and their wedding venue in a personalized design created specifically for their celebration.
The couple was pleased with the final artwork, and the project became an opportunity to apply custom illustration and vector design techniques to a meaningful, client-focused piece.
