Starfox EP Cover
This album cover was created for an independent music artist I connected with through Threads. The artist wanted artwork inspired by the Nintendo Star Fox 64 game cover, replacing the original characters with himself and his musical partner.
The goal was to create a personalized design that captured the nostalgic feel of the original artwork while representing the artists and their music.
The creative direction centered on recreating the recognizable visual style of the original game cover while adapting it to a new purpose.
I maintained several elements of the original composition but chose to redesign the background to better support the updated artwork. I sourced additional visual elements through Adobe Stock and combined them to create a more cohesive composition.
I worked directly with the artist to understand his vision and the specific references he wanted incorporated.
I was responsible for developing the artwork, adapting the character imagery, refining the composition, and revising the background. After presenting the updated design, the client approved the final artwork.
The completed cover was delivered for both digital and print applications. The artist published the artwork online and shared it across social media to promote the release of his EP.
The project demonstrates my ability to interpret a specific creative reference, collaborate with an artist, and adapt an established visual style for a personalized promotional design.
